Biofertech Showcases Precision and Regenerative Agriculture at Algeria’s Agricultural Modernization Conference
Biofertech had the honor of participating in the Agricultural Modernization Conference, invited by His Excellency Mr. Yacine Oualid, Minister of Agriculture of Algeria. The company presented its innovative solutions in Precision Agriculture and Regenerative Agriculture, demonstrating how cutting-edge technologies can enhance productivity, sustainability, and climate resilience in Algerian farming systems.
Representing Biofertech were Mr. Larbi Aymen, Precision Agriculture Engineer, and Ms. Ikram Ider, Organic Matter Engineer, who engaged with farmers, policymakers, and agritech stakeholders to discuss scalable solutions for Algeria’s agricultural sector. During the conference, Biofertech highlighted:
-
Precision Agriculture Tools: Demonstrations of soil sampling systems, variable rate application technologies, and digital dashboards that enable real-time monitoring of crop health, water use, and nutrient management.
-
Regenerative Agriculture Practices: Showcasing organic matter-based soil amendments, carbon sequestration strategies, and methods to restore degraded soils while enhancing biodiversity and ecosystem services.
-
Climate-Smart Agriculture Approaches: Techniques designed to improve water efficiency, resilience to drought, and adaptation to extreme climate events, particularly relevant in Algeria’s semi-arid regions.
Biofertech also emphasized the integration of data-driven decision-making with practical on-field solutions. By combining satellite imagery, IoT-based soil sensors, and geospatial analysis, the company provides actionable insights that allow farmers to optimize input use, reduce costs, and maximize yields while contributing to sustainable land management and carbon capture initiatives.
This participation reinforced Biofertech’s vision of modernizing agriculture through innovation and building a climate-resilient food system in Algeria. It also strengthened collaborations with the Ministry of Agriculture and opened opportunities to scale Biofertech’s programs, including:
-
The Climate Smart Fab Lab in Tiaret, supporting 40,000 farmers with regenerative and precision agriculture solutions.
-
National initiatives on carbon-smart soil management, organic amendments, and sustainable irrigation practices.
By showcasing practical applications of precision and regenerative agriculture, Biofertech positioned itself as a national leader in climate-smart farming, bridging technological innovation, scientific expertise, and farmer-centered solutions.
